Raima Sen turns 45 tuday. On the occasion we got hold of her to look back at her professional and personal growth, and what birthdays mean to her at this juncture of life. The actor, known for her work in Bengali and Hindi cinema, exclusively spoke to Zoom about what she learned from her mistakes, and her dream role.
What does birthdays mean to you? At this juncture my birthday merely means getting another year of wisdom, I hope. Which are the landmarks of your career? My landmarks in films have been the ones I’ve shot with Rituparno Ghosh primarily and still recognised for it. Do you feel you have evolved as an individual? In life I’ve evolved a lot from whom I used to be.
I’ve become a lot stronger and better judge of character. And yes I’ve become closer to my parents. I am still trying to grasp it all and process the changes within me.

No shortcut to success. And I believe you do and wish others good and it comes back to you. And I’ve learnt to put myself first.
Given a chance would you like to change anything in your life? I wouldn’t want to change anything as I think all the bad experiences have taught me a lot. Now I welcome bad experiences. I know there will always be some learni.
