WORCESTER Raiders are hoping to continue their excellent start to 2025, as they take on Thornbury Town at Sixways tomorrow (January 4). They started the New Year the right way, with an impressive 5-1 victory over Roman Glass . The victory was a statement of intent from Raiders, as they dominantly saw off a side in genuine play off contention.

It was only Roman Glass' fourth loss of the campaign, and Jordan Lewis' men inflicted the heaviest defeat that the away side have suffered in all competitions, all season. The game saw Raiders' newest signings come to the fore , with a brace a piece for Noah Rubio and Jake Collins. The five-star display was capped off with a long-range effort in the dying minutes of the match, courtesy of Manny Olaloko.

It was also a first team debut for Dylan Colley, a member of the under-18 squad who received a call up following some impressive performances when training with the side. It was the perfect bounce-back result for Raiders, who could feel rightly aggrieved with their 1-0 loss to Mangotsfield United last Saturday (December 28). Conceding just four minutes in, in controversial fashion, Raiders went on to dominate play but lacked the killer touch to equalise, as Mangotsfield held strong throughout the barrage.

It would appear that the killer touch has been found by Lewis' side in 2025. READ MORE: Worcester City play Darlaston Town in first game of 2025 READ MORE: City Women return in 2025 with vital Lincoln United game READ MORE: City Women is.
