The trade saga for star wide receiver Davante Adams has yet to come to a resolution, and Adams has not played the last two weeks due to a hamstring issue. Initially, everyone believed his nonplaying was due to said injury, but that has since been debunked. Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce spoke to reporters today and finally addressed the trade speculation in a simple yet commanding fashion.

When reporters brought up Adams being traded, Pierce reminded everyone that the receiver is, "still a Raider." Pierce is asked about an update for Adams, and he goes right into the update stating: "Davante is doing well. Hamstring is getting there.

He is getting closer and closer to getting back on the field, back on the practice field. Godo spirits. We talked.

Everything is good," Pierce states. A reporter then asks if there is any scenario where Adams can return to the Raiders. The question is a bit confusing considering the receiver has yet to be traded to a new team.

Pierce instantly fires back with: "He's still a Raider. He's never not been a Raider..

" When the question is restated to indicate if Adams could still play for the Raiders, Pierce shrugs and says, "He's still a Raider." Pierce then clarifies why Adams has been out, and it has everything to do with his hamstring injury. "When he is healthy and he can play, we'll play him.

He's just not healthy right now, and he's getting closer. That's the good part. He's working every day to get that hamstring right.

He's in the right he.
