TEWKSBURY- Rachel Mary (Vigeant) Mellor, age 73, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at the Blaire House, Tewksbury, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lowell on May 29, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Paul and Priscilla (Moreau) Vigeant. Rachel grew up in Dracut and attended Dracut High School.
She worked for many years as a waitress, before moving on to work at Raytheon as an assembler. She loved people and children, and always saw the good in others. She had a great sense of humor and loving nature, which she instilled in her three sons.
Rachel enjoyed walking and spending quality time with her many friends and family. She also took pleasure in decoration and fashion Rachel is survived by her sons, Jarid Mellor and his partner Brittney Koerber of Dracut, and Justin Mellor of Seattle, WA; her brothers, Raymond, Richard, Donald, Fred, Kenneth, and Brian Vigeant all of Dracut and Mark Vigeant of Hudson, NH; her sister Diane Vigeant of Dracut; her nieces, Jayne Feirman, Makala Walker, Toni Souza and Morgan Vigeant; her nephews, Jesse, Garret and Matthew Vigeant; and her best friend, Debbie Marion. Sadly, Rachel is predeceased by her first son, Mark Tetreault, and her brother Norman Vigeant.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 1 pm – 4 pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 9am at St.
