Sometimes there is nothing better than a classic dessert to enjoy after dinner, especially one people can reminisce about having at school. This apple and blackberry crumble recipe comes from popular supermarket chain Aldi . Even better it doesn't require many steps.
It serves four people and has a preparation time of 10 minutes and a cooking time of 30 minutes. According to the supermarket’s website , it reads: “A quick and tasty crumble recipe but made in an air fryer !” Perfect if someone fancies something quick to whip and doesn’t require many ingredients either. The dish can be served with ice cream, custard or double cream for extra indulgence.
How to make apple and blackberry crumble recipe: Four large Bramley apples 120g blackberries 30g caster sugar Two tbsp water 125g plain flour 75g oats 100g unsalted butter (room temperature) 30g demerara sugar Firstly, preheat the air fryer to 170 ̊C and grease or line your air fryer basket. Peel the apples and chop them into small chunks then place them into the air fryer basket along with the blackberries, caster sugar and water and mix. Next, cook the items for 10 minutes.
Then stir and cook for an additional 10 minutes. While the fruit cooks use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour, oats and sugar to make the crumble topping. When the apples have softened, top with the crumble mixture and cook for 10-15 minutes until golden.
Serve warm topped with double cream custard or ice cream..
