Saturday, September 21, 2024 Qatar Airways is expanding in Saudi Arabia, resuming flights to Abha and increasing services to NEOM, enhancing travel options and connectivity for passengers. Qatar Airways is enhancing its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the resumption of services to Abha, starting 2 January 2025. The airline will operate two weekly flights to Abha International Airport.

Additionally, flights to NEOM will increase from two to four weekly services during the winter season. These expansions provide passengers with more travel options and seamless connections to Qatar Airways’ extensive network of over 170 global destinations via Doha’s Hamad International Airport, recognized as the World’s Best Airport by Skytrax in 2024. Abha, known for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, becomes Qatar Airways’ 11th destination in Saudi Arabia, joining AlUla, Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, NEOM, Qassim, Riyadh, Tabuk, Taif, and Yanbu.



With more than 140 weekly flights to the Kingdom, Qatar Airways underscores its commitment to enhancing regional connectivity. Travelers heading to NEOM can look forward to an exceptional living experience in this visionary destination, where they can enjoy a lifestyle in harmony with nature. As service increases to four weekly flights this winter, passengers flying from Abha will also have convenient connections to key destinations like Dubai, Manila, and Sharjah.
