Thursday, January 23, 2025 Qatar Airways has announced a series of adjustments to its services across Africa for the Northern Summer 2025 schedule. The airline’s strategy includes frequency increases on key routes while reducing operations on certain others, reflecting a focus on efficiency, seasonal demand, and customer needs. These changes, effective from May 2025, will enhance connectivity to several African destinations while refining the airline’s operational capabilities.

Qatar Airways is increasing flights on several popular routes, aiming to meet the growing demand for air travel to and from Africa. Beginning May 12, 2025 , the airline will increase flights from Doha to Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro from 10 to 12 weekly. This change will bring even greater improvements during the peak summer period, with services increasing to 14 weekly from June 18 to September 7, 2025 .



All flights on this route will be operated by the Boeing 787-8, offering a comfortable and efficient travel experience for passengers. Flights between Doha and Entebbe will also see an increase, with weekly services rising from seven to 11, effective June 1, 2025 . The route will initially feature a mix of Boeing 787-8, 787-9, and Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

From July 1, 2025 , operations on this route will be exclusively managed by Boeing 787 aircraft, ensuring greater consistency and an improved travel experience. The airline is also enhancing connectivity on its Doha to Maputo and Durban route, .
