Wednesday, August 21, 2024 This autumn, Qatar Airways is set to enhance its service on four of its most popular routes due to rising traveler demand for the winter season. The airline will increase flight frequencies to Miami, London, Tokyo, and The Maldives. Three of these destinations are pivotal hubs within the oneworld alliance.

Starting October 27th, Qatar Airways will introduce an additional daily flight to London Heathrow (LHR) from Doha Hamad International Airport (DOH). This expansion is facilitated by a recent arrangement with Romanian flag carrier TAROM, which relinquished its daily flight to Bucharest, thus freeing up valuable slot space. With the new flights, Qatar Airways will operate a total of 10 daily services between Doha and Heathrow.

The Boeing 777-300ER will be utilized on this route, with the following schedule: Additionally, Qatar Airways will offer two daily flights to London Gatwick (LGW), a daily connection to Birmingham (BHX), double-daily flights to Edinburgh (EDI), and triple-daily flights to Manchester (MAN) starting in November. This expansion will bring the total number of seats offered to Heathrow to over 42,000 per week. In a move to cater to increased winter demand, Qatar Airways will also boost its service to Miami International Airport (MIA).

From December 16th, the airline will elevate its weekly flights from 10 to 12. This increase will enhance connectivity between Doha and Miami, facilitating improved access to destinations such as Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. With these adjustments, Qatar Airways aims to provide greater convenience and connectivity for travelers across its global network.
