The rules were simple: Design a pumpkin race car and let your imagination run wild to create an eye-catching racer.



In most cases, the pumpkin’s looks trumped actual performance. Some budding engineers added wing-like attachments to their racers, while others obviously believed that gaudy decorations are key to top performance.
