The athletes of Pros of Wrestling, who are brought in from several neighboring states, will perform for the first time at Greensburg Hose Co. No. 1.

The event, promoted by the Butler-based company, is scheduled for Saturday at the fire house at 6 McLaughlin Drive. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Bell time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are limited for the family-friendly indoor show.

“We are very excited that this company chose our facility to host this great event, and we wish great success for this event,” said Greensburg 1st Lt. Christian Koury. Pros of Wresting pulls from major talent throughout the nation including Sammi Chaos from New Jersey, Mika from Charleston, W.

Va.; MCW heavyweight champ Demarcus Kane and “Two Tanks” Marshall E from Baltimore, and “Unchained” Brandon Day from Toledo, Ohio. “They’re not just all the local guys that everybody sees all the time,” said owner and promoter Dan Polinsky.

“That’s one of the things that we try to (do to) set ourselves aside from everybody else. Nothing wrong with local guys. We use some of them.

Our whole thing is to try to bring in fresh talent so people are seeing new people all the time.” The promotion has done shows throughout Westmoreland and Allegheny counties. Polinsky, who himself is a Hartford Heights volunteer firefighter in North Huntingdon, said fans have been clamoring for a return to Greensburg.

He’s excited to join the fire department in what could be a beautiful partnership. “The problem with doing wrestling is you have to have the right venue with high enough ceilings and things like that,” Polinsky said. “That’s what was thrown back to me about Greensburg Hose No.

1. They had a social hall that was available for something like that. I went over there and spoke to those guys and we set this show up.

“The whole idea is that if it works out well and it’s actually attended well by the people in the community, they may take this on as one of their normal fundraisers. That’s not official yet. This is the first trial run.

We would like to see a packed house that night. It’s all we ever hope for.” The Polinsky family has been involved in professional wrestling for many years.

Dan’s son, Corey Graves, is a WWE color commentator and retired wrestler. His other son is independent circuit sensation, Sam Adonis. Both sons have successful significant others in the wrestling industry.

“We’ve been around for a long, long time at this,” Polinsky said. “Our whole family’s heavily involved in wrestling. I’m pretty proud of them.

” Pros of Wrestling is the parent company of Firehouse Wrestling, Wrestlerex and Ballroom Wrestling. “Our shows are very polished,” Polinsky said. “We only hire really good talent.

Because of our background and the people that have walked through this business of ours all these years, I feel we’re putting out a premium product. When you go to one of our shows, you are going to see that we do not cut any corners.” Polinsky said attendees should expect to see an action-packed evening with eight matches on the ticket.
