Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his official social media handles on October 5, Saturday, to reveal to the public that the shoot schedule of his upcoming directorial with Mohanlal, L2: Empuraan, has been shifted to Hyderabad in the midst of a hectic schedule in Gujarat for various reasons. He informed the public regarding the commencement of the latest shooting schedule in Hyderabad. In his social media post, the director-actor sounded proud of his team for shifting the shoot from Gujarat to Hyderabad in just 12 hours, on a war footing, reacting to an abrupt halt in their current schedule.

Gujarat Schedule Stalled Earlier, the makers had to stall the Gujarat schedule abruptly due to torrential rains in the state. Billed as one of the most expensive films ever in Malayalam, Empuraan has also been extensively shot across Kerala, Chennai, Ladakh, the UK, and the US. It is backed by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions.



A Highly-Anticipated Sequel Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer (2019), sees the return of Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab'raam aka Stephen Nedumpally. Along with him, the likes of Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Indrajith Sukumaran are also reprising their roles from Lucifer. It is scripted by Murali Gopy, who penned the first part as well.
