Heather Matarazzo is opening up about her decision to move from Los Angeles to Michigan. The 41-year-old actress, best known for playing Lilly Moscovitz in the 2001 movie The Princess Diaries , has moved with her wife Heather Turman . Heather revealed in a new TikTok video that she and her wife, who is a Michigan native, moved about a year and a half ago.

She said in the video, “We kind of looked at each other and we were like, ‘Do we wanna be in Los Angeles anymore?’ And the answer was a big fat no. I’ve only ever lived in New York or L.A.
, so this was quite an experience for me and continues to be.” Heather opened up about the benefits of her new home. “I love that we can finally garden, and our animals are so happy, and I just love it here, I love it so much.
There’s such an abundance of nature and everybody that I’ve met has just been so incredibly kind,” she said. Heather isn’t ready to call herself a “Michigander” yet, but she’s happy to be there! “I feel very grateful to have landed in Michigan. Very, very grateful indeed,” she said.
