Prime Video is delving into the history of The Boys , with a prequel series focused on Soldier Boy and Stormfront. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Vought Rising has been given a series order, with the two reprising their roles as Soldier Boy — the first American non-aging superhero, seen in season three — and Stormfront, the Nazi Supe who was a major antagonist in season two. Ackles and Cash will produce the series, with The Boys executive producer Paul Grellong serving as showrunner and EP.
Grellong and series creator Eric Kripke described the show as follows: “It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.” The main series is set to come to an end with season five.
