Primark have announced they will open the doors of its new store in Glasgow on Thursday December 5 ahead of the festive push. The much-loved fashion retailer is opening its 21st store in Scotland and it will launch in Glasgow Fort just in time for Christmas. The new store will cover 33,500 square feet over two floors as well as creating 200 new jobs.

The celebrate the opening, a live DJ will perform on the day to welcome customers to the new shop. Gavin O’Reilly, the area manager for Scotland West & Cumbria, believes it is a great opportunity for Primark and says the company are ‘proud’ to be launching the store. He said: “We’re looking forward to opening in just a few weeks’ time at Glasgow Fort, particularly the moment when our first customers will step through our doors.
