The sequel/reboot at is done after two seasons. The streamer has canceled the show, a horror-inflected take of the 2010s ABC Family/Freeform mystery. The decision comes about three months after s second season, subtitled , finished its run in June.

Television, for reintroducing fans to this new iteration of liars who band together to fight the latest creepy villain terrifying Millwood,” reads a statement from Max. “Their unique and modern creative vision — combined with the immense talent of our cast and crew — gave the series a fun, horror-filled point of view that paid tribute to its original Rosewood roots.
” Season two ended with a tease of more potential frights, showing a group of girls wearing masks resembling the five Liars walking down the hallway of their high school. That image will be left hanging, however. The revamp scored a straight-to-series order at what was then called HBO Max in September 2020.
The series, whose first season was titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, premiered on July 28, 2022 and earned a shortly after its finale. Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez and Elias Kacavas starred in season two. Aguirre-Sacasa ( ) and Bring executive produced the Warner Bros.
