With the Pacific Ocean within sight, several foreign-bred horses are in the hunt to capture the $7 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club on Saturday. The 41st running of the Breeders’ Cup Classic is the feature race, one that has produced its share of Horse of the Year candidates in the past. This year’s edition includes the talented Forever Young, the third-place Kentucky Derby finisher in the wild photo at the end of the Run for the Roses, and the Aidan O’Brien-trained City of Troy, both adding intrigue to the Classic.

The USA Network coverage on Saturday is from 2 to 3:30 p.m., followed by an extended 21⁄2 hours of live programming on NBC and Peacock from 3:30 to 6 p.
m. that will feature four World Championship races, concluding their coverage with the Breeders’ Cup Classic, and then back on USA Network (where three races will be shown) until 8 p.m.
Peacock will stream all nine races live. FanDuel TV will have coverage of eight of the nine BC races, excluding the Classic. The Classic will be run at 5:41 p.
