Portsmouth is one of the most affordable places in the UK for students to live, and the most affordable in the South East, as revealed in the NatWest Student Living Index . The index takes account of student income and living costs to calculate a score for university towns and cities across the UK, and Portsmouth was ranked 6th in England, and 7th in the UK.
