Nigerian artist Portable was recently involved in a physical confrontation with an event organizer at a mall in Canada. According to a video shared on Portable’s Instagram page on Saturday, the incident began when the organizer, reportedly upset that the singer had declined to promote his business, nearly ran him over with his car outside the mall. Inside the mall, tensions escalated as the organizer confronted Portable, demanding he take photos with fans.

Portable refused, explaining that he was there to shop and enjoy some private time. The situation turned heated when the organizer allegedly threatened to slap and beat Portable. He reportedly shoved and hit Portable’s Canadian promoter, AJ Bone, who had stepped in to defend him. The singer noted that security personnel intervened, and after reviewing footage from the mall’s cameras, they advised him to file charges. Captioning the video, he wrote, “Before we entered the mall, I exited the car, I was walking towards the door and this organizer of the Regina show drove right in front of me and if I didn’t step back he would have hit me all because I didn’t want to go to his restaurant to promote his business and he didn’t pay me for any of that.
