As reported in GlasgowWorld , Mamasan in Glasgow’s city centre launched in 2020 after a £500,000 investment in the building on the corner of Ingram Street, opposite Royal Exchange Square.
Founder Brad Stevens exited Bar Soba Group in 2019 to establish Pizza Punks which has restaurants in Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool and Nottingham. In March this year Mamasan reinvented itself as an audio bar, following a comprehensive hi-fi overhaul and the installation of a bespoke, state-of-the-art sound system designed by sound engineers to elevate late-night cocktails and dining to an unparalleled auditory experience - a first for Scotland. With DJs from Belle & Sebastian and Sub Club signed up to play, Mamasan entered a ‘new era’ as the country’s first dedicated listening bar.
