CINEMAGOERS got the shock of their lives as they turned up to grab their popcorn - and spotted Lewis Capaldi in the queue. The Forget Me singer , 27, caused a frenzy when he went to catch a screening of blockbuster new movie It Ends With Us at Vue Cinema in London's Leicester Square. The movie, which stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni and is based on Colleen Hoover 's bestselling novel, features Lewis' song, Love The Hell Out Of You.

But while celebs like Lewis are often seen at star-studded premieres, nobody expected to see the multi-million selling crooner at a normal screening for the flick on a weekday afternoon. Big hearted Lewis even posed for pictures with fans and was seen buying some movie lovers drinks at the concession stand. One fan wrote on TikTok: "Omg I just spotted Lewis Capaldi going to watch It Ends With Us!!!!!!!!!!!" read more on Lewis Capaldi They added: "And he bought everyone drinks and popcorn.

"Was too shy to ask him for a photo but he was so sweet with everyone." Blake, who produced the domestic violence-themed movie, said of Lewis supplying a song for it: "There was only one song for this moment. Once you see it, you’ll feel it for yourself.

"Lewis Capaldi is beloved for not only his brilliant work, but who he is. I couldn’t be more proud that he told this story with us. Most read in Showbiz "This is an honour; I will be grateful for forever.

This movie means the world to me." Lewis' contribution to the film, as well as his trip to watch it, comes in the wake of him nursing some heartache. Last week The Sun revealed that he has split from actress girlfriend Ellie MacDowall.

An insider said: “ Lewis and Ellie had some long conversations and decided it was best for them to end things. It was a mutual decision. They are still friends and have been talking, so all is not lost.

“Ellie is still based in Edinburgh and Lewis lives in London so it’s been hard for them to see each other. “It’s sad but ultimately Lewis and Ellie had a wonderful time together. It just wasn’t to be.
