Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad cyber cell has appealed to women to remain alert while filling Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin Yojana forms as cybercrooks can access details and siphon off money from their bank accounts . They have urged women applying for the scheme not to share OTPs and click on any links. Assistant inspector Pravin Swami of the Pimpri Chinchwad cyber cell told TOI that women have been submitting important documents, such as copies of Aadhaar and PAN cards and bank documents, to different agencies.

Under the pretext of verifying the documents, the crooks may siphon off money from the accounts, he said, adding that the beneficiaries should not share OTPs with unknown people. Another officer from the cyber cell said that most of the women should not approach unknown people to fill the forms, as the latter can misuse their data,” he said. They should call the helpline number 1930 for initiation of the process to block a transaction.
