Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad police recovered nearly Rs 37 lakh from the office of a political party worker at Somatane near Talegaon Dabhade late on Sunday night. The office of the Election Commission and the income tax department were informed about the cash, police said. An official from the Pimpri Chinchwad police said that the police received information about huge quantity of cash in the office of a land dealer at Somatane.
"Our team raided the office and recovered Rs 36.90 lakh," the official said. He said that the land dealer, who is a political party worker, failed to provide the details of cash.
"We seized the cash and informed the concerned departments," the offcial said..
