State police and other law enforcement agencies continue to seek a Mahanoy City woman on drug charges. Ashley Duran, 27, of Mahanoy City, is charged with felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing a firearm when not permitted to do so. The charges stem from an investigation and a search and seizure warrant, executed July 10 at her residence in Mahanoy City, for a 1996 Jeep Cherokee and of Duran.

Filed Monday by a detective with the Schuylkill County Detectives Office and state police, charging documents state more than $80,000 in cash, marijuana, guns and other items were found. Laboratory analysis done at the Pennsylvania State Police Regional Laboratory, Bethlehem, determined marijuana, psilocyn and THC tested positive. There was more than 20 pounds of marijuana, about 101.



51 grams of psilocyn and approximately 48.98 grams of THC. Duran admitted to law enforcement the items were hers and the money found was from the sale of illegal narcotics, per the documents.

Duran is not permitted to own guns because of a prior criminal record, police said. They said the following items were among those found when the search warrant was served: – More than $80,000 in cash – Two large foil boxes containing suspected marijuana – Six vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana – Two resealable foil bags containing marijuana – Nineteen clear bags of marijuana – A Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 gun, a Sig Sauer P385 9mm pistol, a Taurus G2S 9mm pistol, a SCCY LPX-1 9mm pistol – Vape pens, bars containing THC, packing materials and a digital scale..
