A car was seized after police say they found it was being driven without insurance. Officers spotted the dark grey Volkswagen on Long Lane in Breightmet while out on patrol on the evening of Friday August 16. They say that they found the car to be uninsured after stopping the driver and carrying out tests.
Speaking on Saturday evening, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Yesterday evening your local NBO officers from Bolton North Neighbourhood Team sighted the below vehicle driving on Long Lane, Breightmet. Officers say the car was not properly insured (Image: GMP) “Upon officers running checks on the vehicle it transpired that the driver did not have the adequate insurance to be using this vehicle on the roads of Bolton. “Officers seized the vehicle under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act and have issued the driver of the vehicle with a ticket for the driving offence.
