Pune: The Chandannagar police on Sunday arrested a woman in a three-month-old theft case of gold jewellery worth over Rs 7 lakh in Kharadi. She also confessed to being involved in two other thefts of gold jewellery and cash, totally worth Rs18.1 lakh.
The two thefts occurred at a flat in New Kalpataru Housing Society in Timber Market and a house in Natubaug in Sadashiv Peth. “In both the cases, CCTV cameras had captured a woman,” said senior inspector of Khadak police, Shashikant Chavan. In the Timber Market theft, Chavan said Rs25,000 in cash and jewellery worth Rs 17.
