Renowned American chef Edward Lee / Yonhap JTBC's hit cooking show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" will return next month with a star-studded cast, the broadcaster said Monday. The popular show will feature Edward Lee and Choi Kang-rok in its second season, both of whom appeared on Netflix's Korean original cooking competition "Culinary Class Wars," released in September. Upon its debut in November 2014, "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" became an instant hit with its engaging format, which pits two talented chefs against each other to create a meal in a limited amount of time using ingredients from a refrigerator.
It aired for five years. Edward Lee is a renowned American chef celebrated for his cookbooks and his victory on "Iron Chef America." He was also the runner-up on "Culinary Class Wars.
" Born to Korean parents, Lee served as a guest chef at the White House state dinner when U.S. President Joe Biden hosted Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol in April last year.
Choi is the winner of the second season of "MasterChef Korea." "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" will be produced by Lee Chang-woo and writer Kang Yun-jeong, who were involved in the first season. The exact broadcast date has yet to be announced.
