Alice Webb, 34, died on Monday just hours after having the surgery, understood to have been performed in the West Country. The practitioner alleged to have carried out the treatment — whose identity is known to MailOnline — is one of those who has been arrested.
Save Face, a Government approved register of accredited practitioners, claimed this was the 'first case of a death caused by a non-surgical BBL in the UK'. The risks of a traditional BBL are well known. The procedure, designed to emulate the perky posterior of celebs such as Kim Kardashian and Cardi B , was shunned by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) in 2018.
