Plans for a campsite have resurfaced after South Norfolk Council blocked them earlier this year. Green Bar and Events, in Hapton, near Norwich, hope to open a "luxury" campsite and have resubmitted plans to the local council for approval. The business advertises its proposed camping facilities on its website but has posted a message to confirm it is: "not currently open.
" Under the plans, the five-acre campsite would offer tent hire, with the option to choose a glamping bell tent or stay in a converted stable holiday let. The land proposed for the development is just off Fudenhall Road (Image: Google) There will also be significant facilities provided including toilets, a designated fire pit and a bar area for campers. The planning and access statement, provided by CAM Architects, says: "The proposed development will provide a fantastic scenic opportunity for camping and enjoyment within a peaceful and secluded rural location consisting of unique high-quality camping facilities and innovative activities.
"The benefits of camping are evident to the tourism trade. "A key aspect of this proposal is its ambition to utilise and include local businesses to provide local produce, services and employment to further benefit the local community."
