While we love any kind of holiday here at 9Travel , sometimes we've found destinations don't quite live up to the hype. But then for every let down, we find there are places that we can't wait to go back to. So we asked the team to reveal where they might not return to, and what holiday spots are still on their travel list.

I enjoyed my visit to Cinque Terre in Italy, but I'd never go back. I also felt let down by Gibraltar.



I was verbally abused by a local taxi driver for taking a video of a woman with a monkey on her head (she was in a public place). It's strictly forbidden to feed or touch them, a rule I was told by National Park staff, the taxi driver 'Mafia' don't follow. Meanwhile, I can't wait to return to the South of France.

There are so many places to visit along the coast around Nice, and it's so easy to get around on the train. I will never go back to Cambodia. Angkor Wat is amazing but I don't think it's worth the trip.

Even high-end restaurants felt really low quality. The island beaches are amazingly beautiful, but they're being ruined by buildings and construction.

In one afternoon on the beach we found three syringes that washed up, and that was a resort beach. I did a two-week road trip all around the island and saw so much, but still felt like there's so much more to do.

I would not go back to Rome. I felt it was very overrated. I would absolutely return to New York as it's my favourite city in the world.

I love the energy, vibe, and there's always something to do for everyone. I would go back to Dubrovnik in a heartbeat. It's my favourite city in the world. The old city, the vibrancy, the views, the food, the people.

I've been twice and found that there's not much to do there that excites me. We did the main tourist sites and while the indoor waterfalls etc were pretty, they weren't worth the travel and expense. I would love to go back to Spain, specifically Valencia.

The food, architecture, culture and weather and people were just the best. I'd probably never go back to Ibiza. Granted, I'm perhaps now too old for that outrageous place, but paying €5 ($8) plus for some water in a bar is ridiculous.
