In August, Google unveiled its Pixel 9 lineup which included four phones: the standard Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The other three phones were launched in India a while back, but there was no news on the availability of the Pixel 9 Pro, until Google silently put it on sale mid-October. The Pixel 9 Pro sits between the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro XL – both in terms of pricing and the features it offers.

It’s also one of the rare proper compact flagship phones you can buy in 2024. Google has priced the Pixel 9 Pro at Rs 1,09,999. So, it’s clearly an expensive phone but it probably also provides the best return for your investment as well.

Google has gone for a glossy finish on the back, because of which the phone might slip from your hands at times, but it isn’t that much of an issue. Just like the rest of the Pixel 9 series, Google has gone with a pill-shaped camera island on the Pixel 9 Pro too, and the phone doesn’t sit flat on the table because of that. My review unit is off white in colour (Porcelain) and doesn’t attract too many fingerprints.

Even if that’s an issue, most of you will slap a cover at the back to deal with it. Apart from this, the phone has a squarish body with rounded edges. The small size of the smartphone makes it convenient to.
