Sunday, November 10, 2024 Pittsburgh is gearing up for an electrifying gaming showdown as the E-Arena tournament returns, promising high-stakes competition for Rocket League enthusiasts. This multi-day event kicks off with intense online gameplay on the first day, leading into thrilling in-person matches on the second, where young gamers will compete for the prestigious title of “Best in the City.” This year, Rocket League takes center stage, with 16 teams battling it out in Doubles mode (2v2).

The action begins with online preliminary rounds, designed to whittle down the teams to a select few who will compete in person for the grand prize. Each match is set for a fast-paced 5 minutes, with teams aiming to be the first to score three goals in a best-of-3 series. The tournament adopts a double-elimination format, featuring both upper and lower brackets to keep the excitement alive.

Winners will continue their journey in the upper bracket, while teams that fall short will have a second chance in the lower bracket. However, a loss in the lower bracket means elimination, creating a thrilling “do-or-die” atmosphere. Top teams will earn trophies, with awards going to First, Second, and Third place winners.

But every participant will walk away with something special, including a commemorative t-shirt, complimentary food, and access to fun activities sponsored by Tech 25, adding an extra layer of excitement for all attendees. Finalists will play on high-performance Legion Gam.
