“We had lawyers contact us to say that those claims were totally false” Piers Morgan has issued an apology after airing allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during an interview. The moment took place earlier this week, when singer Jaguar Wright appeared on Morgan’s Uncensored show and spoke about the recent arrest of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs . During the discussion – which has since gone viral – Wright used the platform to put forward accusations against Jay-Z and Beyoncé as well, alleging that the two of them both have “hundreds of victims”.

“For four years I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters,” she added. Now, Morgan has explained to viewers that he had been contacted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s lawyers, and apologised for broadcasting the statements made by his guest. “The thing about platforms, the reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear,” Morgan said in yesterday’s episode (October 8).

“That’s why we invited [Wright] on to be interviewed. The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine.” Piers Morgan.
