People of all ages enjoyed a wonder in the dark as came alive in a play of lights and colours as the annual display Brodie Illuminated was finally switched on. Turning the castle’s grounds into a wonderland of colours and sounds, the opening weekend saw families and people of all ages enjoy a walk in the dark whilst animations were projected on the castle’s walls and the gardens were brightened up by patterns of light. The light trail - which will be open until November 24 - also saw pictures sent from the public incorporated in one of the projections.
Pamela Hill, Brodie Castle and Estate Operations manager, said ahead of the opening: “We wanted to create an atmosphere that encourages everyone to embrace their playful side and interact with Brodie’s grounds and estate in new ways. The light trail is a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the autumn evenings with a relaxing walk around our beautiful grounds. “We are grateful to our members and supporters who make events like this possible.
Thanks to their generosity, we can host Brodie Illuminated again this year with the hope that all our guests create wonderful memories while visiting. Brodie Illuminated runs between 5pm and 9pm from Thursday through to Sunday, and will last until November 24. Hot drinks, refreshments, and Brodie’s Burger Bothy will be available throughout the event to serve hot food.
