The EastEnders , 31, and TOWIE star, 33, had rented the six-bedroom luxury villa, Las Yucas, in Marbella until August 30 but left the house on Monday after it was raided on Sunday night while they were all sleeping.

Less than 50 metres from Playa de la Vibora, dubbed the 'finest white sandy beach in Spain ', the villa is located five minutes from Nikki Beach Club - frequented by the likes Lionel Richie , Eva Longoria , Louis Tomlinson and Manchester City's superstar Erling Haaland . Each bedroom boasts an ensuite bathroom and the couple were staying there with their two daughters Ella, nine, Mia, five, and Dan’s 10-year-old son, Teddy and their extended family. A trampoline, ping-pong table, football goal and swings are provided in the garden which looks out onto the sea and beside it is a heated swimming pool.

But their luxury holiday was ruined after Jacqueline woke up on Sunday night to masked thieves rummaging through the house before making off with £20,000 worth of jewellery and belongings. Nobody was harmed but sources say the couple have been left ‘shaken up’ by the encounter.

Among the stolen jewellery was the engagement ring Dan proposed to the I’m a Celebrity winner in 2015. Handbags and wads of cash plucked from their kids' backpacks are also reported to have been stolen. They are said to have kept the robbery from the children to avoid scaring them.

Jacqueline is reported to have woken up to masked thieves rummaging through the house in Marbella before making off with valuables. The robbers are said to have fled after seeing her. The high-profile robbery comes after another BBC star, former Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw , was targeted by robbers who allegedly gassed him and his 81-year-old mother Eileen in their rented Ibiza villa in order to steal from the pair.

She raised the alarm after seeing a torch and was faced with two men in balaclavas. 'Both men fled after they saw her.

It is terrifying to think what could have happened if the kids had woken and seen the men in their bedroom.' The robbers were alleged to have carried out as many as 71 break-ins, most of them in Marbella.

Police recovered 169 pieces of jewellery alongside pricey watches, luxury handbags and designer gear. They also found a pistol, two shotguns - one real, and one an imitation - as well as masks, gloves, a machete and power tools, Sur reported.
