A pickup truck was removed by police after blocking pavements forcing people to walk on a “potentially dangerous bend.” The truck had been parked on Carrfield Avenue in Little Hulton on the afternoon of Thursday October 24 having previously been spotted elsewhere in the same area. Officers say that they have now removed the vehicle and spoken to its owner.

Speaking on Thursday, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “This vehicle had previously been reported in another area of Little Hulton, but was removed before action could be taken. “Today this was recovered due to it causing an obstruction and dangerous load. The vehicle had been blocking the pavement (Image: GMP) “Whilst waiting for the recovery vehicle, members of the public were made to walk on the road on a potentially danger bend.

“The owner of this vehicle was spoken to by officers and reported for the offence of unlawful obstruction before it was removed from the location. “The team thrive to make the community a safer place to live and welcome any similar incidents to be reported that may be causing misery and upset.” Anyone with any further information or concerns can call police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

Alternatively, witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111..
