It was during numerous brainstorming sessions at Bangalore’s cherished Airlines Hotel, accompanied by countless cups of coffee, that the concept for a groundbreaking vegetarian restaurant began to take shape. Their initial venture, “The Bangalore Cafe,” quickly gained popularity, thanks to the unwavering support of their loved ones. However, the onset of the pandemic forced them to pivot once more.

After much reflection, the idea for Phurr was born—a modern vegetarian dining experience inspired by resilience, much like the Shah Rukh Khan song from which it draws its name. Located in Jayanagar, Phurr offers a haven for food enthusiasts, where vegetarian cuisine is transformed into an art form. Designed by a prestigious Mumbai architectural firm, the restaurant’s interior is as inventive as its menu—providing a sensory feast that encourages guests to savor every moment.

Dining at Phurr is more than just a meal; it’s an immersive experience. The menu presents a thoughtfully curated selection to cater to a range of tastes, including vegan and Jain options. Under the expert guidance of Chef Sombhir, each dish is crafted with skill and passion.

We wanted to redefine what vegetarian dining could be—exciting, innovative, and utterly satisfying,” shares Rahul Lunawat, one of Phurr’s visionary founders. In just eight months since its debut, Phurr has emerged as one of Bangalore’s premier dining destinations.
