New businesses are popping up in the old arcade It's a period of change for one of Birmingham's six old arcades. The Minories, just off Bull Street and a stone's throw from The Square Peg pub, has seen a new cafe move in in recent weeks and a new gaming venue is set to launch too. The old arcade was updated back in 1994 and it has some unique features that differentiate it from the other arcades in town, including semi-circular painted windows, glossy granite walls and globe-shaped lamps to keep it all illuminated.

Great Western, Piccadilly, Burlington, North Western and City Arcade are the other five city centre arcades. We're going to talk more about what's available to shoppers visiting The Minories in another story - if you're seeing this, it's already live and you'll find it . In this feature, though, we're sharing some photos so you can see how it all looks in 2024.
