R’BONNEY GABRIEL – Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel wore fan letters during ‘Drag Race PH’ stint. R’Bonney Gabriel is an American beauty pageant titleholder and fashion designer. She gained significant recognition after being crowned Miss Universe 2022.
Before winning Miss Universe, she held the title of Miss USA 2022. R’Bonney is the first Filipina-American to win Miss USA and Miss Universe. Born on March 20, 1994, in Houston, Texas, R’Bonney has a multicultural background.
Her father is from the Philippines, and her mother is American. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in fashion design and a minor in fibers. This background in fashion played a crucial role in her pageantry career, as she often designed her own competition outfits.
Apart from her pageantry success, R’Bonney is known for her advocacy for sustainability and eco-friendly fashion. She has her own sustainable clothing line and uses her platform to promote environmental consciousness in the fashion industry. R’Bonney made an appearance on the reality competition show “Drag Race Philippines,” wearing an outfit crafted from letters sent to her by fans and supporters.

As a special guest judge and advocate for sustainable fashion, R’Bonney participated in the challenge’s theme. The beauty queen and designer used fan letters to fashion pieces that adorned her shoulders, legs, and hair.
“Kept all my fan letters from last year and incorporated it into my guest judging look I designed for ‘Drag Race Philippines’ because I love y’all,” R’Bonney said in one IG post, and in another said, “I had a feeling that hoarding all my fan letters would come in handy one day.”.
