The first day of the Diwali Festival of Lights was celebrated at Kelowna's Okanagan College with dance, song, henna fashion and fun. The Oct. 30, event was hosted by Okanagan College in the Centre for Learning atrium.
Hundreds of students and staff were in attendance to dance, drink chai and celebrate Diwali together. Students and staff from Diwali is the largest of the holiday of the year in India. It is a time when people of all religious backgrounds come together to celebrate the power and victory of light over darkness.
