Lewiston High School senior Lexie Westleigh packs thank you boxes Thursday in the Lewiston Regional Technical Center kitchen at Edward Little High School in Auburn. Students from the LRTC program and Edward Little High School Student Leadership Council created 60 care packages that will be given to first responders in Lewiston and Auburn on Friday as a thank you for their response to the Oct. 25, 2023, mass shooting.

Matt West, the assistant director of LRTC, said that student leaders have met on a regular basis to come up with a plan to show their support. “This is all the student leadership council’s idea,” said West. “What first responders went through on Oct.
