The insights, based on data collected from accommodation bookings, revealed that the average room rate in Phnom Penh on December 31, 2024, was an impressive 67 USD. This makes the city an attractive choice for travelers seeking an affordable yet memorable New Year’s Eve celebration.
Following Phnom Penh in terms of affordability are Hanoi, Vietnam, and Jakarta, Indonesia, with average accommodation rates of 79 USD and 92 USD, respectively. Notably, Jakarta also stood out for having the cheapest hotel room rate in Asia’s capital cities, with a room available for just 2.45 USD.
On the other end of the spectrum, Bangkok’s Siam district recorded the highest-priced booking for the holiday, with a luxury suite costing 4,584.61 USD.
