Phillip Schofield has enjoyed a night out with estranged wife Stephanie Lowe and some of their friends at a West London pub on Saturday. It is the first time he has been seen since the 60-year-old TV presenter made his controversial TV comeback with a secretly filmed castaway show on Channel 5. The disgraced star took aim at former ITV colleagues, of which he said there were the "three sh*ts of showbiz", which is believed to include Holly Willoughby , his former best friend and co-host of This Morning who he no longer speaks to.
Schofield took his pet pooch to the pub and a source told MailOnline that he "seemed in good spirits" and "looked like he was enjoying himself" at what the source believed was "an engagement party for a friend". It would seem that Schofield was indeed in high spirits as he posted a pic of his pooch on his Instagram Stories as he addressed his fans - telling them he was in the midst of 'happy days'. Showing off that his faithful friend was wearing a leather jacket, Schofield made a link to The Fonz, played by Henry Winkler, with a caption: "Monday, Tuesday, Happy Days".
The words were the starting lyrics of the theme tune to the iconic US sitcom, Happy Days. This comes amid reports by The Times that he made overtures to ITV and had 'demanded an apology' and even a return to the channel. Reports suggest that YMU, who were Schofield's former agency, had asked for a meeting with ITV bosses and Molly Lowe, Schofield's eldest daughter who is also his public.
