Thursday, August 29, 2024 Philippine Airlines is set to transform air travel with Amadeus technology, redefining passenger experience on both global and domestic flights. Philippine Airlines (PAL) is poised to transform its technology infrastructure through a comprehensive suite of solutions from Amadeus, aimed at elevating the passenger experience on both its international and domestic routes. As the Philippines’ only full-service network carrier, PAL will integrate customer loyalty insights with Amadeus’ Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS) for real-time personalization throughout each stage of the customer journey.

Having initiated its digital overhaul with Amadeus’ Altéa PSS in 2018, Philippine Airlines is now expanding its partnership to include Amadeus’ Traveler DNA for enhanced customer profiling and personalization. To further revolutionize its digital presence, PAL has chosen Amadeus to bring its expertise in airline website optimization. Amadeus will revamp the airline’s website and transition it to a new cloud-based infrastructure, offering managed services for ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and cloud hosting management.



The collaboration will also feature a digital lab and competency center dedicated to co-innovation, focusing on customizing and improving the airline’s website experience. Additionally, Philippine Airlines will implement Amadeus’ Loyalty Management solution to evolve Mabuhay Miles into a digital, lifestyle-focused loyalty program, enhancing flexibility and engagement for its members. The advanced loyalty technology will equip Philippine Airlines with a comprehensive suite of features, including currency retailing, an enhanced user interface, a dedicated loyalty member portal, and targeted promotional capabilities.

The system will enable real-time identification and benefit allocation, as well as sophisticated tools for acquisition, member recognition, and segmentation. Additionally, the airline will have the opportunity to broaden its loyalty partner network through an intuitive, self-service partner management portal. These digital services and loyalty solutions will be seamlessly integrated with the Altéa PSS suite and incorporate technology from Amadeus’ partner network, offering Philippine Airlines exceptional value in delivering highly personalized service to its customers.
