Peter Obi has voiced strong support for the Dangote Refinery, urging the federal government to back the project instead of undermining it. He praised Dangote for his remarkable industrial hub encompassing over 15 sectors. In a series of tweets on his verified X page, Obi emphasized that the refinery issue is economic, not political.

He wrote The former presidential candidate highlighted Dangote's significant contributions to Nigeria, calling for the swift resolution of disputes and government support for the refinery's seamless operation. he noted. He stressed the refinery's role in addressing Nigeria's fuel crisis, boosting foreign exchange earnings, and fostering economic growth.
