Peter Andre has shared his thoughts on the Strictly Come Dancing scandals and shown his support for Janette Manrara and Giovanni Pernice. The reality TV star told his fans today how he thinks "they're just dragging everyone's name" following It Takes Two presenter Janette being force to issue a statement on Monday about her behaviour on the show with a former celebrity contestant. Will Bayley, who danced with Janette in 2019, blamed the BBC show for a severe injury that he sustained during his time on the show which he said changed his life, pointing the finger at Janette for prompting the high-risk jump.

Peter's decision to speak out about the drama has sparked a fierce debate amongst his fans, with some slamming the I'm a Celebrity ...

Get Me Out of Here! star for speaking out on behalf of women amid some serious allegations. Speaking to his fans on Instagram , Peter explained how as "someone who appeared on Strictly" he "should stick up for these people." The Mysterious Girl singer, who participated in 2015 series, described his professional dance partner Janette and Giovanni as "the nicest, most beautiful" people.

"They're getting dragged into things like this," Peter says at one point in the furious video. "Of course, of course if someone did something bad and someone hurt somebody, I can understand that - of course that's not acceptable - but because I was there and people like Giovanni and Anton, they were always a gentleman to me.", Peter continued: "They were lovely to me and not just me, but the way I saw them with people.

I think when Janette's name got dragged in too I thought 'come on guys, she's beautiful'. I don't know. I just think that yes of course if there is any misconduct that they have to find out but I think they're just dragging everyone's name in and I don't think it's fair.

" The dad-of-five captioned the video: "My thoughts on @bbcstrictly @jmanrara @aljazskorjanec @giovannipernice @mrantondubeke. Although i don’t know what happens in everybody’s training room I can only speak about what I saw and experienced. It is however important that people speak up if they feel that something was wrong and important that they are heard.

When Janette and others got dragged into it too, I couldn’t help but wonder if this is going too far before any investigation." Janette was once of the first to comment on Peter's video, telling her 2015 celebrity contestant: "Love you so much @peterandre." Commenting on Will's claims on Monday, a representative for the mum-of-one informed BBC News: "Janette had a great time dancing with Will and one of her favourite moments on the show was doing their contemporary couples choice.

Her celebrity partner's safety and enjoyment was always the priority throughout her time on Strictly. Janette has never received any complaints and has maintained friendships with all her partners, including Will." However, not all the comments underneath Peter's post were as positive as Janette's.

"It's great that Giovanni was nice to you, or seems polite but we also need to believe women when they speak out about behaviour that makes them uncomfortable," one Instagram user told Peter. Another added: "Come on Pete don’t invalidate someone else’s experience by your nice experience! This is why people don’t speak up about their experiences. Not everyone has the same experiences.

Let those who are investigating do their job. It’s good they are your friends but that doesn’t make them nice to everyone." Peter's passionate video comes as BBC bosses are struggle to contain the scandals as the 20th anniversary series of Strictly looms on the horizon.

Graziano Di Prima found himself cut from the forthcoming line-up earlier this month before going on to admit he kicked his 2023 dance partner Zara McDermott during a training session last year. Giovanni Pernice will also not be gracing the BBC dance floor this autumn due to an ongoing investigation into allegations made against him by actress Amanda Abbington. Giovanni, who won the Glitterball trophy with Rose Ayling-Ellis in 2021, has denied the accusations and is determined to clear his name Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads.
