Pete Wicks is getting prepared for his big role at Vicky Pattison 's wedding - though it is just a tiny bit of an unusual one. The former TOWIE star, 36, has opened up about his sweet friendship with Vicky, but also admitted that there is one part of her wedding that he's not exactly looking forward to. Speaking to the Mirror , he shared his excitement over her upcoming wedding to fiance Ercan Ramadan .
"Vick is one of my best mates," he told us. "I adore Vick - and it's important to be part of the wedding so I'm going to be a flower girl. Which is weird - I've never done that before.
Not entirely sure how that will go but I'm excited about it and I'm so happy for her getting married because she's had a tough time and she's one of the most beautiful people inside and out. So yeah, I'm really excited for that. But I don't think I'd make a good flower girl - I'm a bit nervous about it!!" He's not exactly sure about how that will go and what his clothes will be.
.. "I haven't thought about it yet but we shall see," he admitted.
"I'll probably have to go with whatever theme Vick wants." Considering that we're slap bang in the middle of wedding season, we can't help but ask Pete his view on the weddings he's been to this year. "I like weddings, I mostly like the evening - not a big fan of the day because they're very long," he admits candidly.
"I just like to go to the evening bit - I don't really like the day bit. It's very long isn't it? The evening bit, I like - especially if there's a free bar, then I really enjoy it. I also love wedding music - there's nothing like a bit of 'Build Me Up Buttercup'.
" Pete spoke to us from Colorado, where he's jetted off to with pal Sam Thompson for their toughest challenge yet with Coors. Opening up about their friendship, which has grown over the years since their stint together on Celebs Go Dating in 2019, he said: "Nothing's gradual with Sam and I think the first day I met him he latched onto me like a limpet onto a rock and he hasn't f***ing let go since," he joked. "You don't have a choice but to love Sam because he won't let you do anything other than love him.
But yeah, I think us being so different has helped and it's probably the reason we get on so well. We have a different view on a lot of things, but the main thing between us is there's a love and respect there. So yeah, but he is very f***ing different to me.
" As with any friendship, it's not always smooth sailing. Probed on the hardest point in their friendship, Pete quipped: "Just day to day life! Yeah the dancing, the Tiktok is probably the hardest point in our friendship. "But yeah, we've never had a row in six years, we don't really row about anything so there hasn't been any hard moments.
