Perth-raised radio star Jermaine D’Vauz has had his viral Michael Jackson fan video shouted out by none other than the Jackson family itself. The host of Nova’s The Jermaine Plane show on Friday nights shared a TikTok playing the ‘Michael Jackson song challenge’ with a colleague — recalling tracks from the King of pop’s extensive back catalogue as quickly as possible. And he wasted absolutely no time rattling them off as each song opening played, flexing his odd talent and extreme fandom.

“Might be a little bit of a fan,” he captioned the post, which has garnered more than 30 thousand likes in four days. Butterflies, Rock With You, and The Way You Make Feel were a few of the songs featured. And when beaten out by his colleague as Never Can Say Goodbye began, he was quick to rebut, “That was a Jackson 5 song!” With the viral video reaching global fans of the late singer, who died in 2009 at the age of 50, an X repost of his clip TJ Jackson validated D’Vauz’s lifelong obsession.

“That’s impressive!” TJ reacted. TJ Jackson is the eldest son of Tito, Michael’s brother who sang alongside him in the Jackson 5. D’Vauz was labelled a “true MJ fan” by one commenter, while another said, “Wow he is locked in”.

The homegrown radio personality has presented at Nova 93.7 in Perth, worked alongside Kyle & Jackie O in Sydney, and most recently produced for Nova’s Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel. He launched The Jermaine Plane show in late 2024.
