People are being urged to make sure they have enough medication for the bank holiday weekend. NHS Sussex is encouraging people across the county to put in their prescription requests early to make sure they do not run out over the three-day weekend. A spokesman for the organisation said: "Ahead of the bank holiday weekend, make sure you have enough of any essential medication to see you through.

Services across the county are also expected to be busy over the bank holiday, with people encouraged to seek out the right help depending on the medical problem they have. A&E should be kept for emergencies only, while minor injuries can be dealt with at walk in centres or in pharmacies.



People can also call 111 or use NHS 111 online for any medical advice that is not urgent. Anyone in an emergency should call 999..
