Well, the next time you're in a Greek restaurant you're going to have a lot to think about, because apparently there's one dish we've been mispronouncing this whole time. Gyros is a delicious Greek dish made with slices of meet, either chicken, pork, lamb or beef, served on a pita with Tzatziki on top. It's often served as fast food , and is popular globally.

So you might be slightly mortified to learn you've been saying it wrong. While on visiting Milos, a volcanic Greek island, online content creator and fashion student Sara Shammout asked a Greek waiter how to pronounce the popular fast food dish. She captioned the video, which she shared on TikTok : "I've been saying it wrong this whole time.



" The waiter said it should be pronounced like "yee-ros", to which Sara double-checked: "It's not guy-ro?," but it turns out those who have been saying it this way have been saying it wrong. And Sara wasn't alone. The TikTok has been seen by over 1.
