Richard L. Pazar, 81, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Nov.
14, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on Aug. 5, 1943, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, to the late William and Beatrice (Meyers) Pazar.
He was the youngest of 16 children and a graduate of Benton High School. Mr. Pazar worked most of his career as a presser for H.
D. Lee. Richard was baptized at King Hill Baptist Church.
He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. He was also an avid sports fan and supporter of the Chiefs. Richard married Linda VanPelt on Nov.
28, 1970, and were looking forward to celebrating their upcoming 54th anniversary. Together they raised their two daughters. Richard was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
Richard is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; two daughters, Lisa Hamm (Rusty) and Lori Pazar; good friend, Shane Wardlow; four grandchildren, Derick Goolsby, Alyssa Goolsby, Matthew Hamm (Madi) and Madison Hamm; two sisters, YaLonda Sharick, South Amboy, New Jersey, Sally McCasland, Stafford, Virginia. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral Service 10:30 a.
m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont, Missouri. The family suggests memorial donations to Freudenthal Hospice, whom they would like to express their warm and heartfelt appr.
